On Thursday July 16 SONS volunteers put on a fishing clinic for a group from the Bayfront Center as part of the Erie's Black Wall Street. 20 students were accompanied by Bayfront Center Staff as we met at the fishing pier located at the Foot of Holland St. near the center. There a lot of fish caught including perch, bluegills, a smallmouth bass and a lot of round gobies. The day was warm however the atmosphere was filled with smoke from wildfires burning in Canada and the Upper Great Lakes area. In spite of that the kids had a good time.
