Discover Presque Isle Family Fishing Clinic |

On Saturday July 29, 2023 twenty two S.O.N.S.
of Lake Erie volunteers conducted a Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission
Sanctioned Family Fishing Clinic as part of the Discover Presque Isle
celebration. We estimate that 150 adults and 110 children came onto the fishing
platform located on Waterworks pond on Presque Isle State Park. All of
these visitors were invited to try their hand at fishing under the
experienced guidance of the S.O.N.S. volunteers. The weather was an
assortment of sun and clouds with a rain storm arriving toward the end
of the program. The S.O.N.S. of Lake
Erie has participated in the Discover Presque Isle event every year
since the celebration began 30 years ago.
